The temperatures have been great over the last week at Sandpines. The heat is on in the valley with 85 degrees plus (that is hot for western Oregon), but Florence remains near 70 degrees. So, if you are looking to beat the heat, come play a round at Sandpines.

The greens were groomed and top dressed with sand earlier this week, and are in great condition. The weak turf area on the left of hole 7 approach and collar area was aerated on Tuesday. The goal of this procedure is to provide better infiltration and gas exchange, which will result in healthier turf and better playing conditions. Sand was also added and re-positioned in a few bunkers to enhance playability.
